Director of Ecommerce Business:My wife and I have started and grown an online commerce business that currently sells through the Ebay and Amazon platforms. We achieved an average monthly growth of 22% in 2019. I currently spend most of my 'free' time outside of my Baker Hughes job learning about and building this business. The business began by performing retail arbitrage; however the business has grown large enough that we are venturing into wholesale/replenishables to continue our growth rate. We are currently focused and actively seeking to expand our wholesale network and social media presence. Some projects I have completed and are currently working on are:1) Optimizing and organizing a schedule for maximum time efficiency for myself and our two employees to meet our monthly growth targets.2) Found and hired a CPA to ensure our financials and taxes are in order. I view this step as one of the most important as it makes sure the business is built on a solid foundation.3) Hired an employee to find inventory and accomplish tasks to allow me to focus my efforts on higher ROI projects/tasks.4) I have developed a method to Project sales numbers for our replenishable products, 200+ different skus. I utilize this method to order weekly to minimize skus that go out of stock while also maintaining minimal inventory on hand to expand the number of skus to continue our growth. 6) Utilize Pay-per-click advertising to increase sales velocities of certain products.7) Improve listing page and title to improve traffic to the listing and thus improving sales.

My job title hasn't changed, however in June 2017, I was asked to start refreshing my process skills so I can fill either account manager's position if/when needed. I was also requested that my priority shift to customer relationships, mainly management including the RLT. During Q4, I spent 3+ weeks off site to support a process trial. During this time, I was surrounded with highly experienced BHGE personnel which expanded my knowledge of the process side of refineries. During Q1-Q2 of 2018 I spent 3 months filling in for the newly hired process account manager. During this time I managed inventories, started and completed projects, performed service, and improved Desalter performance. Some of the process projects I led were a Desalter feed study, transferring the customer to an improved chemistry, and support a corrosion audit on the tower overheads. Currently, I am training the process account manager since she has came back. I am also supporting the water account manager by completing water services and working on water & process projects while building relationships with customer management and RLT.

I focused primarily on learning water treatment and service during this time. I attended and completed BHGE influent water, waste water, boiler, and cooling tower training courses. During this time my focus was primarily on managing inventory, providing service, performing inspections, and customer value added projects. Some of the value added projects I worked on were changing injection locations, locating and resolving cooling tower water loss, increasing boiler cycles, training operators, and increasing chemical/pH/conductivity control on cooling towers. I also worked with our technical service to help provide a cooling tower audit and cooling tower efficiency survey to the customer. Multiple times I have filled in for the Water Account manager when he was away to make sure the water side continued to operate smoothly. Being his replacement, I led multiple water monthly "KPI" meetings during his times away for training and vacation.

I began my career with Baker Hughes in the downstream division on the process side. For approximately two years I, along with a small group of coworkers, treated desalters, pipes for corrosion/fouling, and finished fuels additives. During the two years on the process side I learned the basics of the refinery units as well as routinely located and resolved issues. The last 18 months I have been focused on gaining experience as well as picking the brain of a 30+ year water treating veteran. In this role I have treated, serviced, and trouble shot raw/influent water systems, cooling towers, Reverse Osmosis systems, Boilers, and Waste water system. Due to my experience in both process and water, I have filled in for both the process and water account managers when needed. I have completed partial week training courses in Raw water, Cooling Towers, and Waste Water with a 3 day boiler training course planned for June. This job provides me satisfaction because every day is different, the constant need to resolve issues, and the fact that it is impossible to learn everything regarding refineries as there is too much for one individual to learn over a lifetime. I love problem solving and learning and this job provides each of them daily.

Was a full time student and also did student research the last one and a half years.

Worked in an office setting with my main task being in charge of collecting and maintaining records for a 5 week summer camp. On top of this, I created spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, fliers, and was assigned to answer the phone.
