I have a desire to run a Christian business that operates in a biblical, godly fashion and fosters a family environment for the employees. I want to use the equity and resources gained from entrepreneurship to fund other Christian entrepreneurs as a platform for spreading the gospel. Current owner/operator of DACO Stone a premier distributor and installer of masonry products, specializing in natural and manufactured stone, and brick veneers. Snap shot of my career:I started with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 2009 as an Research & Development Engineer developing innovative materials for DEPENDS* and HUGGIES* products. In 2012 I moved to the Kimberly-Clark Professional division as a product developer working on JACKSON SAFETY* Eyewear and led claim optimization on highly regulated government products. In 2014 I began refining my consumer research skills with the Home Professional team on Scott Rags in a box to the home improvement market and Scott Shop Towels to the automotive market. After obtaining my MBA from Wake Forest I took a role at Liberty Hardware as a customer marketing manager for the Home Depot account. I was able to grow a $20MM category by 6% by managing product and merchandising that includes 350+ skus across 6 different plan-o-grams. In 2017 I took a role at Zep, Inc as a marketing manager on a JanSan category worth $85MM. I grew the category by 1% after it had been declining 10% year over year for the past 10 years. In 2019 I stepped into entrepreneurship becoming part owner at Carter Absorbents. I was able to optimize the supply chain and increase bottom line earnings by 33% while developing an launching a brand that resulted in a 105 growth in sales. In 2020 the COVID pandemic created a temporary drop in sales that created the opportunity for me to explore purchasing a company and becoming the primary owner. In 2021 I was able to close on a deal for DACO Stone and live out my dream to own my own company.
