According to Eric Ries, the author of "The Lean Startup," anyone working in a startup can be considered an entrepreneur. He defines a startup as an institution, big or small, that creates new products and services under conditions of extreme uncertainty. Based on this definition, I would say that I'm an entrepreneur. I've created and sold products and services in uncertain conditions, with varying degrees of success. In my corporate career, I was obsessed with efficiency and getting the most out of every activity. But since starting TechOps, I've made it my mission to help mid-sized companies improve their operational workflows with technology.I'm all about metrics and constantly testing assumptions, even if things are already "working" well. I believe that "people and processes can always improve."I'm a bit of a generalist, having roles in technology/engineering, sales operations, product development and biz dev.But my greatest achievement is my wonderful wife and two daughters.
