About Marcus Gower

I am a Solutions Architect in Application Security working for Barracuda Networks based in Reading, UK. Since starting this role at Barracuda, I have learnt about all the products that are offered at Barracuda and have gained an in-depth knowledge of Barracuda Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Load Balancers (ADC). This has opened a door to a whole new world of Application Security. Learning about (just to name a few), API security, client-side protection, bot protection, DDoS protection, XML firewalls, CDN & DNS, content routing, and a whole lot more.I graduated with a 2:1 from University of Portsmouth where I studied a BSc in Cyber Security & Forensic Computing. Throughout the degree I learnt several units consisting of Advanced Networking, Virtualization, Programming, Computer Architecture, Forensic Investigation, Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, Vulnerability Discovery, Reverse Engineering etc.
