Oversee State Human Resources Management program for the Department of Military Affairs. Formulate personnel policies and procedures, analyzes personnel processes, and initiates changes. Responsible for monitoring statutory and regulatory changes affecting agency policies and ensures all agency policies are in compliance with state personnel rules and statutes. Advise senior management on suitable courses of action regarding human resource management/ personnel issues. Oversee the agency’s Risk Management Safety/ Loss Prevention Program and Workers Compensation for state employees while also designated as DMA’s (state) primary Safety Coordinator. Appointed as the Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employment Officer to oversee and act upon all EO actions pertaining to state employees.Serve as a key member of the agency’s leadership team, ensuring The Adjutant General’s vision, direction, and intent is consistently communicated and coordinated across the agency planning scale and that implementation plans at all levels link with and support the DMA goals and strategic objectives.
