    Starting at my position as an Officer for the Brazilian Air Force was a major shift in my life and required a great amount of adaptability and new professional networks. After all, I left the civil career and dived into a military culture while assuming big responsibilities as Public Relations serving at the Air Force Academy (AFA) from 2013 to 2015.- AFA is a higher education institution and one of the most known units of the Air Force, inspiration for the brazilian youth desiring for a career as a comissioned officer. Despite that, a decrease of applications was diagnosed. Therefore, I researched, planned and executed a new digital communication positioning. In the two following years we tripled the amount of new applicants that declared have known about AFA and your admission exam through social media. - My role as a PR also involved creating and maintaining relationship with the general and specialized media, having them as partners always covering our events and helping us to increase our brand awareness. - As an Officer, I responded directly to high authorities (Brigadiers and superior officers) reporting my plans, achievements and new tasks.- Responsible for content writing for social media; press releases, Air Force's magazine, blog and journal. - One of the head organizers for several events held at AFA, such as an "open gate" air show in 2015 with an estimated 93.000 people during the day; for the 2014 international military pentathlon championship for the International Military Sports Council (CISM); and Driver's Cup championship held at AFA's runways. - Planning and receiving national and international authorities, such as friendly countries Generals and Commanders; national and international politicians, such as Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and Ministers; Sports and TV celebrities and NASA's former astronaut General Charles Duke (this job included being your interpreter for your lecture for an audience of over a thousand listeners).
