Primary role is divided into three tasks, blog management, social media strategy, and course editing.Blog Management Managed NCC’s blog, including communication with the nurse author network, review of all blog submissions, editing accepted submissions, optimizing for best SEO practices, creating relevant graphics, and building on WordPress via Divi. As a poetry reader, I was part of the larger editorial team at Brave Voices Magazine. I read through poetry submissions to the magazine, voted and commented on submissions, edited selected poems, and helped choose the order of publication for each piece.

As part of my study abroad program in Angers, France I completed an internship teaching English as a second language. I worked approximately 150 hours at the school, with students ages 6-15. I contextualized their language learning lessons to activities appropriate to the different ages and interests of my students.

In Spring 2016, I worked under the name "Ray Kearns" as a poetry editor for the fourth annual, online publication of "The Interlochen Review." My tasks included commenting, approving, editing, and selecting excerpts for all poems under consideration.

The Red Wheelbarrow is Interlochen Arts Academy’s student-produced quarterly literary magazine. It has been published quarterly since 1975. The magazine features original works of short prose and poetry by Interlochen Arts Academy students. The students launch the magazine with a live reading alongside original performances by singer-songwriter students.
