Born on an air force base in a remote and windswept swathe of English countryside. The sights of 60s postwar cold war fashion and the sounds of supersonic fighter jets couldn't drown out the chiming clang of the British Invasion, a wave that carried across the pond and landed in 70s Texas - chainsaws and agave, challengers and stetsons, pink granite and the biggest blue sky you've ever seen. Drawing came naturally. Returned to the UK, living in a Cotswold cottage built in the dark ages, in the darker ages of Thatcher, only lit up by the brilliant light of mod, punk and metal. Rock n roll soon became the soundtrack for endless visits to ancient ruins, galleries and halls filled with antiquities, spurred on by an endless curiosity of things. Studies and music in Munich. The Wall came down, and east germans filled the streets like alien beings from a not-too-distant planet, in awe of the West. Back to London before joining the indie rock and emerging tech brigades that filled the pioneering town of Seattle. 1996. Began making things for the web - perfect synergy of how it looks, how it works, and how it makes you feel. Began to challenge why and how we do things by way of design. Built and led multi-disciplinary teams of talented and driven designers. Made a career of creating experiences you wouldn’t soon forget. Chased away by the rain, back to Texas - queso, big skies, sunshine. L - i - v - i - n'. Nearly 30 years of experience, and currently working with some of the most brilliant people on the planet.
