I lead Access Partnership in the Asia-Pacific as APAC Principal, as well as being Head of Economics Strategy.Prior to joining AP in 2022, I established and led the Deloitte Southeast Asia Economics Advisory practice from 2017 to 2022. I have 9 years of experience as an economics and strategy consultant, and almost two decades of economics and financial analysis and public policy experience, developed in roles with Deloitte Financial Advisory Singapore and Deloitte Access Economics Australia, and in central government: at the Australian Treasury, and the Reserve Bank of Australia. As an economics and strategy advisor to government and business leaders, I have led studies and evaluations of public policy and regulatory reform—including on economic development, industry policy, AI, trade rules, and financial regulation—across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas. As a consultant to public and private sector investors, I have led the development of business cases and measured the economic-social-environmental impact of investments and initiatives, including as part of infrastructure feasibility assessments and impact investment due diligence. I have helped M&A clients understand the commercial implications of economic conditions, regulation, and megatrends such as digital disruption and sustainability. I have worked across industries such as agriculture, resources, construction, transport, finance, TMT, and tourism. My public sector experience included institutional markets analysis with a focus on banking sector funding and lending, including small business financing; capital markets and financial regulation; and international macroeconomic policy, including on the G20 and IMF. I have hands-on experience in implementing legislative and regulatory reforms, from policy development, regulation impact analysis and public consultation through to taking legislation through the Australian Parliament. I have represented the Australian Treasury on international G20 working groups, including on macroeconomic policy; energy and commodity financial markets policy; and climate change financing. I have also led work on the Australia’s 2014 Financial System Inquiry, Australia’s implementation of OTC derivatives reform, and the design of a resolution framework for Financial Market Infrastructure.Across all these experiences, my strength has been in robust data analysis and persuasive storytelling.I have lived in and been educated in three jurisdictions - Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia - and bring a global and regional perspective to what I do.
