Project's website: https://viuavm.org/Viua VM is a virtual machine designed to reliably run massively concurrent systems. The emphasis is put on reliability and correctness of the software, not so much on performance. Intended areas of use are server daemons, message queues, work servers, and communications - where you want your software to run for long periods of time without crashing or going down.Viua VM was the platform I used for the project accompanying my engineering thesis and ultimately earning me my engineer's degree. Dogfooding at its finest, I guess.

Main main responsibility is the maintenance of an internal software tool. This includes fixing bugs and developing new features, but also backports to older supported releases of said system. An additional task I took upon myself was creating developer's and user's documentation for this system from scratch, based on knowledge gained during reengineering and working on the codebase.I also investigated (and sometimes fixed) bugs in other software systems (both internal and external) at ADVA that were running in the environment provided by the system I was working on.

During the course of my employment at Posbit.pl my responsibilities were growing, and while my title was "Perl Programmer" in the beginning, in the end it was more of a "Jack of all trades, master of some".Among the things I was tasked with are: designing and implementing components for POS system and surrounding areas; designing and implementing ORM code generators; designing, implementing and maintaining SQL schema static analyser; writing frontend (in AngularJS) and backend (in Django) parts of a web application, preparing a compilation pipeline for embedded software project.I was also providing short briefs about the technologies we use; overseeing interns' work; a language lawyer and stylist; responsible for peer review of code written by my colleagues.For a period of time I was also a maintaining a build system for the package with final versions of Posbit.pl's software.I was also tasked with automating server setup and management; the management part was mainly dealing with managing Posbit.pl's web application instances, and for that I designed and implemented a remote control tool (consisting of a daemon part located on the remote end, and a client part installed on administrator's computer) capable of querying the system's state and performing various administrative tasks (including fully automated updates with rollbacks).
