Implementation consultant for ORTEC Workforce Scheduling - a software package that our customers use to plan and schedule employees. In my case, customers from various branches of the healthcare sector in The Netherlands - ranging from large hospitals (cure) to care institutions (for example: elderly care / rehabilitation centers) Technical tasks include, but not limited to:- Installation of ORTEC WS, and other ORTEC applications;- Working in SQL and with databases, as well as building SSRS reports / BI modules; - Azure applications;- Configuration, building and implementing XML interfaces with other software packages;- Configuring Single Sign on between ORTEC and customers (Azure/ADFS etc);- Part of various teams to roll out new applications, interfaces and modules: Working with developers, product owners, project managers and finally delivering it to end users.Functional tasks include the following, but are not limited to:- advise about tailoring the software to the customer's needs;- configuring interfaces, labour laws and rules for calculating salaries; and- various modules and add-ins to the basis software (Website, Mobile app etc).In-house I undertake various actions individually or part of a team to:- improve communication between various departments and roles; - offer quality solutions to customers and future-proof solutions; - updating or making documentation for customers; - training and helping colleagues; - 24/7 world wide techniscal support team;- Making time/workload estimations for new requests from customers; and- Participate in, and organize, fun events.Since June 2024 I am also part of another group, Rhythm, where I function as an Integral Capacity Management Advisor where required. Throughout the year I also try to follow some courses: For example: Project Management, Azure Fundamentals, Time Management, Change Management; as well as ORTEC specific modules.

Professional Doctorate in EngineeringJoint project between Orthopaedic dept. @Sint Maartenskliniek and the Center for Healthcare Operations Improvement and Research (CHOIR), Universty of Twente- Modelled and built a decision support prototype for planning orthopaedic surgeons whilst also taking into account the effect the schedule will have on the radiology department, bed usage and yearly goals. Update 2022: The model has been implemented at a few hospitals and is being used daily by planners. - Used mostly mathematical modelling techniques e.g. dynamic programming, Markovian models, and integer linear programming.- Integral capacity planning/ management (ICM)- Software used: AIMMS, R, Excel and LaTexAlso followed courses and attended conferences.

Mainly developed VBA code for an large Excel document/program which served as an platform for various engineers to update work and upload it onto a larger software package.
