Seaholm District transformed an industrial area into a vibrant mixed-use destination, including historic Seaholm Power Plant, an award-winning new Central Library, and The Independent, the tallest residential building west of Mississippi River. These Districts 2018 assessed value exceeded $4 billion and support sustainability, affordable housing, local businesses and new trails and open spaces. Lead redevelopment of 1215 Red River, one of the City’s last parcels set for redevelopment downtown, as well as other city-owned parcels.Oversee Downtown Austin Public Improvement District, including contract with its management entity Downtown Austin Alliance for $10+ million annually from property assessments.Assist policy makers explore areas for investment and partnership, such the local food system and manufacturing, logistics and supply chain industries. Serve in special assignments related to disaster response and recovery, such as $150,000 state grant to improve nonprofit and business sectors' emergency preparedness. The resulting public service announcement won 2016 Emmy. Participate in media campaigns and interviews. Regular speaker at local, statewide and international events.
