I am an Activities Assistant at Thousand Trails Campgrounds, a collection of campgrounds owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties. I work at two sister campgrounds in Marmora, N.J, Echo Farms and Red Oak Shores. At each campground, I work with two other members of the Activities staff to plan and execute events for all ages. This job has given me experience working with different personalities and working out event ideas that were different than what I pictured. As a group, we discuss attendance of our events and take down notes for future Activities staff. We are able to discuss what went well with our events and what we can change for next time. Something I have really enjoyed is that I have been able to bring my artistic personality to this position, such as designing promotional posters for our events using Canva. I also lead certain events that lean more toward the artistic side. For example, I was a square dancing instructor for our Wild West Weekend, I led a record-painting session for our Sock Hop Weekend, and I provided face paint for the kids on a few different weekends.Each weekend has a specific theme, and I have enjoyed coming up with unique event ideas that match the theme of each weekend. I was the head of planning Fairytale Weekend, where we held a storytime, a tea party, face painting, Disney movie nights, and more. (I really liked that one because I got to dress up like a princess!) I have learned a lot about social media management in this position. I am becoming more involved in running Facebook accounts for the two campgrounds, and I hope to create content such as photo collages and short videos. By becoming more involved on our social media pages, I hope to share the events we held and encourage campers to attend future events.

As a Resident Assistant, I was responsible for a hall of female college students. I built individual relationships with them, supported them, and encouraged community engagement by hosting events. l also ensured that the students were upholding college policies. This position encouraged me to pursue individuals in my hall, and sometimes this was difficult if people kept to themselves or didn't attend events. It showed me how to be consistent in reaching out because it was my responsibility, even though at times it was intimidating. I was encouraged in building relationships with the girls on my hall as well as seeing them become friends with one another.

At Townsquare, I wrote articles and press releases, brainstormed community engagement ideas, planned events, and frequently represented Townsquare at community events. I attended professional sales and event planning meetings, observed radio hosts at work, segued overnight radio shows, and appeared on 'The Lite 96.9 Morning Show with Eddie Davis' multiple times. I created and delivered an advertising campaign to a local business. This was an extended project during my internship where I reached out to American Honey, a women's resale store in Galloway, N.J. At the time, American Honey was making preparations to open to the public, as it was a new business and had just moved into the building earlier that year. There was a post on American Honey's Facebook account that mentioned Cat Country, one of Townsquare's radio stations. I emailed Stephanie Wiker, owner of American Honey, and asked if she would be interested in advertising her new store on Cat Country. As a part of this process, I interviewed Stephanie, wrote an article about American Honey, and worked with my supervisor to create a presentation of advertising campaign options for American Honey. I presented these options to Stephanie, and she ended up hiring Cat Country to play music during American Honey's grand opening. This was a really unique experience, and I enjoyed taking initiative in this project and building a connection with a local business as a representative of Townsquare.
