I have been a licensed registered nurse for 18 years. During those 18 years, I have worked in labor and delivery, hospice, and at an SNF. The majority of my career has been spent in labor and delivery. I have worked in this department for 15 years. I am currently the night shift charge nurse. I train new employees and serve as a resource person. I assist mothers in the labor and delivery process. I am competent in the operating room as a circulating nurse and a first assistant during cesarean sections. I also triage patients to rule out labor. I also am a nursing clinical instructor for maternity nursing and the fundamentals of nursing. I am currently working towards my Master's Degree in Nursing. I am concentrating on the Teaching/Learning track at the University of North Alabama, I plan to bridge over to the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in the Spring of 2024.
