Teaching English rhetorical composition skills to university students is as much a joy as it is a challenge. First-year students bring a mixed bag of abilities and career goals in everything from creative arts to STEM concentrations. For five semesters, I taught primarily in face-to-face contexts, but my desire is to create online courses that are stimulating and objective-fulfilling. To that end, I worked with English department professors to convert current upper-level courses to online offerings. I also worked as a trained writing tutor at the Write Place, which is our campus tutoring center. It was a very rewarding experience that I carried forward into classroom teaching.

Following completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012, I morphed into a new phase of life with a different, yet integrated, focus. The Master of Science - Special Studies degree program that I designed incorporated three different academic departments and distinct areas of study – Instructional Design & Technologies, Jewish & Religious Studies, and Mediation (Communications Studies). Through the SCSU Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education (www.stcloudstate.edu/chge ), where I worked as a Graduate Assistant, I created e-learning tools and resources to assist in the teaching of the Holocaust and genocide topics throughout the various departments’ teacher preparation coursework. In 2014, I completed a Master of Science degree in that field combined with Mediation and Jewish & Religious Studies. I also have extensive corporate experience in telecommunications programming, administration, and training.

In the summer of 2012, I completed a BS in Music with a focus on New Media, and a minor in Computer Networking and Applications.

Responsibilities included programming Avaya PBX and Cisco IP phone systems and call center applications, managing 1500 cell accounts, telecom equipment inventory, telco services invoice analysis and payment approval, administrator and end-user training.

Call center operations including new services order entry, billing adjustments, troubleshooting of cable TV, Internet, and telephone services.

Performed on-site assessments of telecom infrastructure and services of multi-tenant buildings, supervised three assessment teams across USA, wrote and edited others' detailed executive reports and summaries, traveled extensively throughout USA.

Throughout this particular career phase, I programmed PBX and key systems for major dealerships, project managed installation and implementation of 100(+) new telecom systems. I trained administrators and end-users, and advised clients of services and equipment to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
