I am a Drake University graduate with a B.A. in Graphic Design and B.A.J.M.C. in Advertising. I have gained experience in graphic design through my current job at The Harkin Institute and past experience at Drake Recreational Services. Throughout both positions I have designed promotional material, infographics, a 150-page report, and social media content as well as frequently addressed issues like diversity, promotional strategies, and design elements. Additionally, over my time at The Harkin Institute, I have been promoted to Strategic Communications Manager where I am trusted to make important hiring decisions, oversee the communications team, and develop all promotional strategies. I have managed employees working in video editing, graphic design, publication editing, and social media coordinating. I am also heavily involved on campus. I was the assistant designer for the Drake Political Review, a student-run nonpartisan political magazine during the Spring 2017 semester and have designed and written pieces for DUIN, a Drake satirical magazine. I have also been a part of Project Bulldog, a group of students who develop a full marketing campaign for a Coca-Cola product and pitch it to executives. On top of this I am a founding member of DU Ad-Vantage, a student-run advertising agency. The club has developed into both an opportunity for advertising students to gain professional advantages such as networking, portfolio reviews, and agency tours, while also gaining real-life experiences by creating advertising campaigns for actual clients. I am excited about the impact this club will have on future advertising students and am proud of the lasting legacy I have left on campus.
