Responsible for the coordination and management of integrated projects for prospect identification and reservoir characterization, using a variety of seismic QI techniques. These techniques include, among others, seismic modeling, seismic inversion, AVO, spectral decomposition, seismic multi-attributes analysis and azimuthal attributes analysis for fracture identification. Coordination and participation in the proprietary seismic analysis and interpretation software design, development, maintenance and support.

Responsible for the coordination and management of all integrated projects in the seismic QI and interpretation areas, to support prospect identification/evaluation and reservoir characterization. Active technical participation in projects in the areas of seismic inversion, seismic modeling, AVO, spectral decomposition and seismic attributes, among others. High interaction with the seismic processing group to ensure the appropriate data conditioning for further analysis. Coordination and participation in the seismic analysis and interpretation software design, development and maintenance. This software is used for internal services and sold to external clients. Conduct on-the-job training for less experienced personnel. Support to the marketing group as a technical specialist. Participation in the company strategic and operational planning.

Responsible for the management and execution of several projects in seismic inversion, AVO analysis, geophysical modeling and seismic attributes, including the integration of the seismic data and analysis results to well and geologic information for reservoir characterization and prospect evaluation in diverse geological settings.

Participated and executed multiple exploration and production projects in seismic inversion, AVO analysis, geophysical modeling and seismic attributes. Integrated seismic analysis results to the integrated interpretations and reservoir characterization/evaluation.

Led successfully several projects for the applications of seismic attributes techniques over prospective areas at different locations. The applied techniques include AVO, seismic inversion, similarity analysis, facies recognition based on the estimation of fractal dimension and a nonlinear method to estimate reservoir properties from multiple seismic attributes. Simultaneously, led the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science for E&P group, conformed by an average of 15 professionals, including computer scientists, mathematicians, and geophysicists at different levels of expertise. The main objective for this group was high level development and programming for geophysics and geology related techniques/applications.

Petroleos de Venezuela. PDVSA-Intevep, Los Teques, VenezuelaInvolved in the development of a method and a computer code for 3D P-wave azimuthal AVO analysis, for fracture orientation and density estimation. Involved in the application of different seismic analysis and attributes techniques to several datasets for different asset teams in the company.

Master of Science. Thesis: Use of azimuthal seismic attributes for fracture characterization.

Developed several codes for different geophysical methods including a parallel code for NMO correction, an interactive velocity editor, a seismic data management and basic processing library, and many graphic interfaces for other tools developed in the group. Responsible for the administration of the UNIX platform for the geophysics group.

Developed general applications related to financial, law, medical and communication areas.
