After a year in the job I was promoted to Events Assistant from an Events Intern.I have now been given more responsibility in events. I now directly deal with our stakeholders, communicate with leaders and high authorities. I have lead on events along with an officer and help with Spreadsheets, site plans, budgets and brain-storming ideas. I have been involved in new events within the town such as Music in the Park that was the first major music festival that Leyland held.

This is my first job as a graduate. I had been taken on as a 6-month intern but in the new year I was given a 9-month extension.As an event intern so far, I have taken part in the Chorley Flower Show, Chorley 10K, Picnic in the Park, Chorley's Big Weekend, Bonfire night and Chorley and South Ribble Christmas Light Switch On. This was my first part-time job. I was 17 at the time and stayed until I was 21. This job abled me to grow in confidence and customer service. With changing to different branches half way through my time with the company, I was placed in the situation of fitting into a new group of workers as well as keeping a solid relationship with the ones back at home. Lourdes, Occitanie, France

I visited Lourdes every summer for 5 years. I would go for a week, along with 9 other coaches that would have 30-40 young people onboard. We would help Pilgrims who came from many parts of the Liverpool Archdiocese with going to masses, cafes and visiting the shops. We would spend some days in the hospital serving breakfast and lunch.
