Having qualified as a Yoga Teacher in 2004 my experience in wellbeing and healing has spanned the last 2 decades. Teaching yoga and subsequently somatic movement exercises to adults until lockdown 2020.Inevitably working deeply with the body has profound effect on mind and spirit, my desire to be able to respond helpfully to what the mind needs led me to therapeutic counselling and neuro linguistic programming. Circumstances evolved and I have been working closely with young people since 2018. Embodying all I have learned in my day to day life and work I chose to enhance my counselling skillset with training to counsel young people.My current role is in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people in a secondary special needs setting, meeting many YP of all neurotypes, I am developed a particular interest in understanding the autistic experience. My learning path also continues with a special interest in ACE's, trauma and the nervous system. How to integrate, regulate and heal utilising all I gave learnt and am continuing to learn both through CPD and from the amazing young people I meet with.
