Provides coaching and guidance to employees through all stages of the career lifecycle, from on-boarding to retirement. Serves as a PEBA Retirement System and Deferred Compensation subject-matter expert. Leads team activities to ensure that bi-weekly payroll transactions are consistently accurate and on schedule. Oversees the secure electronic data exchanges between the HRIS, finance interfaces, and the County's insurance enrollment platform.Performs the daily administration of the County's self-funded medical plans and wellness programs for eligible active employees, retirees, and COBRA participants. Ensures that all insurance enrollment transactions are in compliance with the County's Plan document, retirement system requirements, County policies, Internal Revenue Service 125 plan regulations, and Federal and State laws. Responsible for the content, design, and timely publishing of the annual Employee Benefits Guide and coordinating annual Open Enrollment and Wellness Incentive programs.

Empowers members and stakeholders to make confident decisions pertaining to future retirement goals and insurance coverages. Use direct and effective communication techniques to convey complex subject matter to members, employers, and external stakeholders of all five retirement plans administered by PEBA: South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS), Police Officers Retirement System (PORS), Judges and Solicitors Retirement System (JSRS), General Assembly Retirement System (GARS), and the South Carolina National Guard Retirement System (NGRS). Designs and leads the training curriculum for all new Customer Service employees using engaging and creative techniques. Proficient use of creative suites such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop design software to design and develop the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), Member Handbooks and Brochures, Employer training curriculum and related materials. Communicates with printing vendors in securing bids for various types of print services, and following procurement procedures to implement payment. Enforces guidelines required for HIPPA privacy compliance and member account security.

Serves as liaison to the South Carolina General Assembly under the direction of the House of Representatives Sergeant-At-Arms office. Primarily responsible for coordinating the efficient communication between elected Representatives and the public during sessions of the General Assembly. This office also takes exclusive care and charge of the hall of the House of Representatives and the committee rooms, and is held responsible for their keeping and for the protection of the furnishings belonging to them.
