As a Metadata Intern, I assisted with the Navigation Aids Project by undertaking a multifaceted role focused on enhancing discoverability and access to legislative branch materials, specifically the Statutes at Large collection, on loc.gov. My primary responsibilities encompassed metadata creation, editing, and review through the development of HTML structures for congressional navigation aids. In this capacity, I collaborated with a dedicated team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of metadata while contributing to the seamless progression of the project. Through this experience, I honed my skills in remote task and time management, digital project execution, and gained proficiency in metadata principles and HTML coding. Moreover, I had the privilege of advocating for open-access research initiatives, furthering the accessibility of historical materials to a diverse audience. This internship not only provided me with valuable hands-on experience but also fostered a deeper understanding of the intersection between technology, information management, and public accessibility.

Assisted with finding and filing research materials for "2019 From Silver Screen to Mainstream: American Fashion in the 1930s and 1940s" exhibit. Conducted donor research for existing CHM collections in museum archives and updated information in TMS (The Museums System). Assisted with preparing objects and historical documentation for incoming students and researchers. Cross checked photocopied materials accession number and filed into museum catalog files.

During my time as Volunteer Coordinator at Pleasant Home, I played a pivotal role in enhancing visitor experiences and operational efficiency. I welcomed and assisted national and international guests monthly, managed museum memberships, donations, ticket sales, and merchandise purchases, and helped maintain the museum gift shop. Additionally, I provided administrative support, edited and revised documentation for museum tours, helped organize special events, and facilitated volunteer management and training. My efforts significantly contributed to the success of the museum's initiatives and ensured a positive experience for both visitors and volunteers alike.
