I am very passionate about advocating and educating others which has stemmed from my personal experience of being an adopted young adult. Because of this experience, I am passionate about attachment and trauma, this being evidenced in my continual professional development where i have spent my own time reading books and studying extra courses such as dialectical behaviour therapy and neuro linguistic programming. My strengths include being reflective and taking a more observational stance when working with young people and families, including an outside the box approach. I am creative and able to use my innovative as well as work well as a team member. I also would suggest i am good at making connections both with other professionals and families and young people i am working with. I have volunteered with national youth advocacy and was one of their youngest volunteers to support looked after young people and i am very proud of this accomplishment. I have done a BTEC health and social care in college, achieving distinctions and am currently coming up for my third year of studying a psychology degree.
