Mariah Green is a developer, activator and organizer, with an active interest in equity, education, grassroots organizations and developing individuals and communities. Developer. Mariah believes in empowering individuals to build up communities and institutions, in that order. Most recently, she worked with colleagues on Sustainability goals presented at the White House Summit. She sees the potential in an idea and capitalizes, often bringing other young achievers alongside her for greater impact. Organizer. She currently serves as the Board Chair of Circles NWA. Additionally, Mariah enjoys actively learning, and believes learning and growth are two things that should never stop. As an advocate for equity, Mariah has partnered, spearheaded and served as a catalyst for many student-run, nonprofit and community initiatives. Activator. Mariah is a do-er. Her former roles as Director of Communications (Hope Center KC) and Director of Academy allows her to interact with people of all socioeconomic statuses, demographics and identities. Mariah is richly engrossed in community development initiatives working to bridge the gap in equity disparities, specifically in marginalized communities. In NWA, she has a unique role with Circles NWA as a champion and Board Chair.Mariah has learned the importance of partnership, representation, advocacy and presence in her 10+ years of working in the nonprofit sector, specifically prioritizing youth and their families. Mariah completed two bachelor degrees at the University of Missouri in 2016, and has since completed her Master's of Public Administration and Nonprofit Studies at the University of Arkansas. Her focus areas were primarily public policy and community development.Currently, Mariah hopes to further her network and experience by working with companies and individuals interested in innovative ways to serve marginalized peoples and their communities, invested in increasing cultural humility and diversity as well as challenging social norms and policies that lead to systemic and systematic oppression.When Mariah isn't working she enjoys being outdoors, time with family, and growing her small business, YADA Events.
