Having started my career in the NHS in 2000, I had the wonderful opportunity to join Midlands Air Ambulance in 2008 as part of the fundraising team. After spending two years as area collections co-coordinator across Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands responsible for the management of over 8,000 collection tins across those counties, I was promoted to area fundraising manager for Shropshire.In the last six years I have had the privilege of working with some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic individuals and businesses which has enabled me to develop my organisational skills to a high degree. My experience during this time has also allowed me to enhance my people management skills through my involvement in very many fundraising projects including events, presentations and a continuously developing schools programme. I'm passionate about the challenge of helping to raise the £9m per year required by the Charity to keep our three helicopters operational, as we receive no government or national lottery funding and are solely reliant on the generosity of the general public and local business to raise these funds.At a cost of £3000 per life saving mission every penny we raise is a step closer to achieving the target and ensuring that this life saving service is maintained.
