Further exploring my interest in education and my passion for promoting access in Latin America, I interned with Fundación los del Camino. This national non-profit aims to offer educational, financial, and humanitarian aid to children and their families in Colombia's areas of high social risk. For four weeks, I worked to update the organization's website and social media pages to contextualize Colombia's social climate better as the organization looks to secure funds from international donors. This included photo and video creation, compiling research, updating the website, and creating a blog to highlight the organization's impact.

Got the opportunity to intern, primarily working with the organization's Communications, from funding applications to website and newsletter development. Also worked on the previous year's qualitative data organization, analysis, and presentation. Got to explore my interests in education from behind-the-scenes, getting to know the New York City public schools system as well as learning about the impact of healthy food and nutrition education for children.
