Aurora Lithium is a joint venture between Galp, Portugal´s largest oil & gas provider, and Northvolt, the European champion providing world leading green battery solutions. The company was established in 2021 and aims to develop opportunities within the fast-growing battery value chain market. With a 50/50 stake, the joint venture is proceeding with the development of Europe’s largest and most sustainable lithium conversion plant in the region of Lisbon, Portugal. The plant is set to have an initial annual production capacity of between 28,000 and 35,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide – a critical material required by the lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry, which is expected to grow significantly by 2030. The facility will use a proven conversion process, leveraging recent process improvements and technologies to increase its sustainability and efficiency. Additionally, the JV is seeking to enable the use of green energy to power conversion processes to minimize reliance on the conventional powered approach.

HR lead for the Supply Chain end-to-end in Portugal. Business partnering the VP Supply Chain and R&D in the definition and implementation of the local HR strategy. This includes the local Unilever manufacturing company - FIMA OLA - with a site that helds 3 plants of foods and refreshment product categories with about 400 employees as well as 60 employees in the non production Supply Chain areas (logistics, procurement, planning, safety, etc.) and in R&D.Responsible for the industrial relations. Double hatting with the responsibility of the HR services / transactional services (e.g. payroll) department at total company level (aprox 800 employees).With a team of 5 direct reports in total.
