I joined American Airlines in 2004 and was recruited as a Reservations Agent for the Italian line and speak fluent Italian. In 2006 I progressed within American Airlines to Training Specialist within the Senior Management team In my role as Training Specialist I am responsible for delivering training to all staff within the company which exposes me to staff at all levels including very senior managers. This has enabled me to deal professionally with staffing at all levels. My role within the management department has refined my excellent employee relation skills and developed my ability to deal with people in different circumstances. One area of responsibility is the manage the employees’ journey from the commencement of the recruitment process directly through to the placement of a successful candidate. I am responsible for teaching all new intake the company’s policies and procedures and ensure that I monitor and assess their progress . In my role as the most senior trainer I have always sought to play an active role in supporting and mentoring my team. I recognise the importance of good leadership in the motivation of others and achievement of success. I am keen to develop the team as I recognise our importance to the achievements of the airline. I am committed to establishing a strong and high functioning team so that staff engagement and development can flourish. From 2005 -2017 I was joint owner of a newly established Dance Academy working with local children of the community. My responsibilities included administration of new students, Accounts Management, examinations, show productions, design of school uniform and most importantly the health and safety of all children in the establishment. I loved working within the community as I flourish in settings where I am able to interact with people. During my time as Dance Principle, I worked with children with special needs including ADHD, Blind and Down syndrome and a wide range of child with learning difficulties. As a teacher this had its challenges, however to be able to change the life of a child using music and Dance is a great achievement of mine. I have also worked as a Manager for my own privately owned establishment in Lecce, Italy. This role required me to assess and prioritise my workload and operate in a flexible manner that enabled me to deal will all eventualities effectively.
