I was a manager who oversaw and supervised Rehabilition Specialist, which were designated to help the people we serve (who have developmental and/or mental disabilities), to lead more independent and productive lives. I supervised the Res. Hab. Specialist to make sure they followed all procedures and protocol.

As a rehabilitation specialist I assisted people with mental or physical disabilities re-acclimate to independent daily living. I coordinated the needs of the client with the care they will receive. In this role I also taught my clients practical skills, so that they can work or go to school and function well within society.

I substituted for workers at different job sites. When I worked at Residential Homes these were my duties: · Assisting individuals with disabilities with their daily living and independence skills/personal care (grooming, bathing, feeding).· Utilizing Individual Support Plans to assess an individual's needs.-Documenting all progress with clients· Accompanying individuals to and from appointments and activities.· Fostering a meaningful relationship between the individuals and their community.
