I am currently a first-year J.D. Candidate at Cornell Law School. I am also a former litigation assistant at the Prison Law Office, a nonprofit public interest law firm that strives to reduce incarceration and demand fair and humane treatment for people in prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities across California and Arizona. I graduated from Cornell University's School Industrial and Labor Relations (minoring in law and society) with honors after writing my Senior Honors Thesis on the issues that farmworkers in the United States are facing and the ongoing policies that target them, reflecting on how beneficial they truly are and how they are perceived by farmworkers and advocacy groups. I am a bright, engaged, and thoughtful worker and leader whose passion for helping others shines through. My ultimate goal being to pursue public interest law, I developed my interest in social justice through research projects on the economic and social impacts of racism in the criminal legal system, police brutality, the prison industrial complex, as well as through a variety of professional and extracurricular roles that reflect my passion for social justice.
