Helped financial services companies generate and maximise value in their loan portfolios across the life of a deal by bringing together geographic and subject matter expertise from across my network within the Loan Portfolio Asset Management team within the Portfolio Advisory Group at PwC. I used data analytics, restructuring, operational diligence, and valuation services focused on asset, portfolio and servicer management to help companies maximise their portfolio returns. I worked with private equity firms and banks to design and implement initiatives that best meet their needs.

Risk leader for business focused on financing the acquisition of performing and non-performing loan portfolios in Europe. Co-originated ~$1B NPL lending opportunities in Ireland, Italy and Spain. Led due diligence of NPL portfolios in Italy with over €3B in gross book value. Assessed market dynamics and developed market entry strategies in Italy and Spain, including identification and evaluation of servicers, potential partners, risks and litigation/enforcement processes.Managed multiple workstreams within the sale of senior/junior notes in 3 Italian NPL securitisations with +$5B loan balance.

Developed asset resolution and portfolio exit strategies for CRG’s 14 NPL portfolios in Asia, Latin America and Europe with total investment size of over $2B. Majority of portfolios backed by commercial and residential real estate. Explored entry into new markets: conducted market analysis, assessed legal framework, and identified/performed due diligence on 3rd party service providers in 15 countries.­Challenged and approved asset valuations and proposed disposition strategies during underwriting process.­Evaluated individual asset resolutions for top assets and approved quarterly business plans for each portfolio.Managed all workstreams and 3rd party advisors (incluing servicers) pertaining to operations post-close. Negotiated all servicing and intercreditor agreements. Developed performance metrics and analysis to understand asset and portfolio performance and trends, as well as to create strategies to improve performance.Designed and ensured CRG’s 11 servicers in 10 global markets implemented strategies to accelerate asset resolutions and reduce costs. Saved approx $5M in costs.Restructured deals resulting in over $5M in additional distributions to investors and renegotiated 4 servicing agreements resulting in approx. $10M in savings.

Conducted strategic and operational reviews including on the shared services company that supported 5 AIG insurance companies in Japan. Identified and implemented over $5M in savings.

Director of Lehman’s non-performing loan (NPL) servicing entity in Thailand. Responsible for developing and implementing resolution strategies for a US$500M portfolio of approximately 25,000 non-performing residential loans and US$155M of commercial loans.­Built master servicing business from 3 to 20 staff and managed 2 sub-servicers with 120 employees.Co-managed underwriting of over US$1B of non-performing commercial loan portfolios in the Philippines. Created business plan for servicing infrastructure in the Philippines that included a country risk assessment, process flows, budgets, organizational infrastructure, and proposed business partners.

Assisted in the successful underwriting of a US$6.5B portfolio of distressed commercial assets in Thailand and the subsequent establishment of the servicing platform that was a joint venture with Goldman Sachs. Utilized GE’s Quality Program to lead teams in improving efficiency of various processes (Master Black Belt trained).

Conducted due diligence and created financial models for the acquisition of loan portfolios and operating asset based lending businesses.
