Department of Fisheries and Oceans - Canadian Hydrographic ServiceTraining Facilitator (Casual) Ottawa, OntarioSeptember 2016 – PresentThis role involves the facilitation of all aspects and logistics of a National 12 week training program for the Canadian Hydrographic Service’s Multidisciplinary Hydrographer (MDH) Program and encompasses the following:• Liaising with Directors nationally to coordinate participants and scheduling logistics• Coordinating students from coast to coast to attend MDH training• Negotiating and booking travel and hotels for 30 + people• Compiling and verifying complex, multi-media course materials with multiple instructors• Planning Web ex, Face to Face and Self learning modules for the duration of the program• Organizing with IT the procurement of laptops as well as installation and licensing of software specific to the MDH program• Acquiring marking schemes prior to commencement of the program• Establish remote training spaces ensuring all the necessary technical requirements • Coordinating multiple training modules for translation• Coordinating and creating all correspondence to be sent out to students and instructors• Ensuring pre requisite medical and health and safety requirements are met for 30 participants prior to course commencement• Authoring official governmental memorandums • Amending schedules as changes come up• Sourcing and scheduling invigilators for final exams• Compiling, recording and communicating results to participants
