I’m also helping to design brand-new personal development paths that will empower our people to reach their fullest potential.I’m especially excited about projects like optimising the onboarding process for new colleagues and contributing to the Traineegame—an annual event designed to inspire and engage colleagues at the start of their careers. At Handelsbanken, as HR Specialist L&D, I am responsible for the training offer. My duties include providing training in the areas of personal development, team building, as well as issues such as project and change management. In addition, I frequently consult with the Management Team regarding training programmes they would like to implement for our commercial colleagues. I also offer advice to the MT based on observations during office visits.To complement my role, I am actively involved in developing and implementing Learning Journeys for both onboarding and leadership development. These pathways are designed to provide new employees with an in-depth understanding of our corporate culture, values and processes, while acquiring the skills and knowledge needed to function successfully within their roles. For leadership development, I work on programmes that support our managers and executives in cultivating effective leadership skills, driving innovation and fostering a positive and productive work environment. With a focus on continuous improvement, I maintain regular contact with all stakeholders to ensure that our training initiatives remain relevant and aligned with the needs of our employees and the organisation as a whole.

As a Learning and Development Consultant within Sthree, I am responsible for the onboarding pieces of training for all our new hires in de Benelux, Spain, and the Mena region. These pieces of training include some sales tactics, how to set up your personal brand, and feedback skills. Besides this role, I am the regional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lead for the same region. This means that I am working closely with our Global Head of DEI to make some plans, to improve awareness around this topic. We are currently conducting a needs assessment around the business to gather their opinion about this topic.

Offering training, workshops and webinars in an interactive way. Combining enthusiasm and knowledge to motivate participants and allow them to experience different ways of thinking. Topics can vary from learning to present to learning about diversity and inclusion.

As a junior HR advisor, I had the opportunity to get involved in various activities. Among other things, I was the contact person for 3 departments. The managers came to me with personnel issues, the application of the Gatekeeper improvement law, the coordination of terms of employment, etc. I was also allowed to be part of team diversity and inclusion. Here I was responsible for setting up rainbow policy. For this I had conversations with the deputy and provincial states, but also with external organizations that have a stake in this.

During my graduation project of my study HRM at the Haagse Hogeschool I had the opportunity to do my graduation internship at the Province of South Holland. The subject of my thesis was: 'The implementation of an integrated personnel policy'. Besides writing my thesis, I also worked on the project. For example, I was able to supervise and organize several meetings for all the interns. And I was part of the team diversity and inclusion where I could help to give substance to the week of diversity.

In April 2017, I founded tenants association* The First Chamber with fellow board members. Subsequently, I served as president of this association for about 4 years. Thus, I went through a process for signing a cooperation agreement. And finally I was also allowed to sign it. Furthermore, various consultations organized between the association and -Municipality of The Hague, -Universities, -semi government agencies. Every six months there was also an AGM, which I had the privilege of leading together with the board members. *A Tenants Association gives advice to the landlord about the policies they implement. They also have regular meetings with the landlord about rent-related issues such as rental costs, sustainability or service costs. The board of the tenants association meets on average once every 2 weeks.

In the summer of 2020, as in the summer of 2019, I worked as a recreational employee at the Kohnenhof campsite in Luxembourg. In the morning the day was started with crafts with the little ones. After noon there was a standard afternoon activity in the context of sports and games and just after dinner a tour of the campsite ending with participatory theater. Here I took on the role of a character to tell the little ones about the best vacation adventures. In the evening there were family activities such as ghost tours, I love Holland game nights and a soccer tournament.

In my position as a program committee member, I want to bring the quality of education to the next level. Working together with students from different years and teachers of the program is of great importance here.

Within the framework of my education, I have been active as a teaching assistant. On various projects I have guided pupils and students in their development. I have taught first year HRM students, and also provided workshops at the Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum in The Hague. I was also project manager of the Hague Mentor Program, where I paired students of The Hague University with students of the Wateringse Field College. Each HBO student entered a coaching program with 1 or 2 students.
