Marilyn Wright has over 30 years experience within California State and local government and has worked in both the legislative and executive branches, as well as for several governmental advocacy firms. This experience has provided Marilyn with a wide breadth of knowledge of the processes and structure of state and local government and the opportunity to make many contacts in both the public and private sectors. Marilyn’s experience in governmental advocacy has provided her with the opportunity to work closely with clients on their policy needs, whether it was exploring possible solutions through coalition building or directly advocating to the Legislature on their behalf. Currently, Marilyn contracts with the Government of British Columbia, Office of Trade and Investment where she oversees the Agrifood sector. Previously, Marilyn was the Executive Officer for the California Tribal Business Alliance (CTBA). Prior to working for CTBA, Marilyn was appointed as Deputy Director of Legislative and External Affairs to the California State Lottery by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
