I am a former San Antonio City Councilmember with over 12 years of experience in advancing climate, sustainability, clean energy, and energy efficiency solutions. I have a Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Texas at Austin, with a focus on natural resources, diplomacy, and international security. As a Councilman, I hired and managed a staff of ten. I facilitated stakeholder engagement on a broad range of public policy issues and passed over 100 land use zoning and planning cases with community support. I also led efforts to upgrade our city's energy code, making San Antonio the first city in Texas to require all new homes to be pre-wired for Level 2 electric vehicle chargers.
