The Safety Professional will never know how many lives have been saved through his or her efforts in training, leading or just in simple conversation about safety.I enjoy teaching and speaking about safety in the oil and gas industry. My goal is to continue to learn about how work is done in the industry "front lines" and to become a better teacher of safety every day in order to promote employee health and safety.I believe that as leader, one achieves positive influence on employee health and safety when people trust that you genuinely care about them. No one can make positive changes to a safety culture if the only motivation is a corporate directive. Relationships are the basis of my style of leadership and I will always maintain that safety is simply a bi-product of how well an organization is managed.

Was responsible for site safety and leadership and served as a liason to the asset HSE manager in case of on site incident. Also assisted in investigation of incidents and reporting.I provided safety orientations as needed for new workers and wrote HSE summary reports daily.Being on location 24 hours means being a constant presence for the company safety program. Staying onsite also allowed me to be a key player in keeping the Behavior Based Safety program in full force so that it would continue to be an effective safety tool for the contractors and their employees.
