About Mario Sanchez
I am currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Systems and Computing Engineering at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá - Colombia).My research can be located in an intersection of the fields of workflows, model driven engineering, and executable models. In particular, I am working in the development of extensible and adaptable platforms based on executable models. Our platform, which is called Cumbia, provides features that are particularly useful for building workflow engines.I am also starting to look at issues related to Enterprise Architectures. In particular, I am interested in modeling and analyzing enterprise architectures, using tools and techniques from the model driven engineering field.Specialties: Workflows, Business Process Management, Model Driven Engineering, Enterprise Architecture

I worked in the Cupi2 project ( http://cupi2.uniandes.edu.co/ ) and had responsibilities related to the design and development of the exercises for the APOO1 and APOO2 courses ( CS1 and CS2 ).I was also the main developer of the first version of the Cupi2 web site. This web application is a key communication mechanism for people involved in the project both within and outside of Uniandes (the Cupi2 Community), as it allows the exchange and archival of educative material used on the different courses.
