Represented DIRECTV at contractor facilities. Monitored day to day operational results based on quality, production and cost performance at Reynosa, MX facility. Created and developed cosmetic spec for product including implementation, training, proper interpretation and follow up of spec at four different locations (Tennessee, California, Reynosa and Chihuahua).• Eliminated customer complaints due to cosmetic defects by making proper updates to the cosmetic spec and creating new processes in the production line which included inspection methodology, proper light intensity and proper training for the operators.• Reduced functional defects with customers from 4% to 1% using 8D methodology to find root cause of defects and implement proper corrective actions. • Reduced from 5000 to 1500 PPM’s at finished product audit conducting weekly meetings with on site management and implementing specific actions on the 3 top defects using Pareto chart by quarter and using DMAIC methodology.• Identified and analyzed operator error and implemented corrective actions, reducing scrap from 5 to 1.5%.• Reduced 30% the usage of cosmetic parts by creating a metric to measure damaged parts during the process in Tennessee, California, Chihuahua and Reynosa facilities.
