I started at Freehills as a junior Secretary and moved up the secretarial ranks. When word processing came into its own I became a Word Processing Operator, then moved into Freehills'​ IT Department as the Trainer. During my time in this role I was training groups on several systems at one time, using the self-paced manuals I'd written. I was also gravitating towards macro-writing in Word 2 and Word 6, as well as working as a Lotus Notes Designer and Administrator. For several years I was the Membership Officer of the NSW Society for Computers & the Law. I left Freehills after 21 years, but continued to work for them for another eight years on a contract basis doing macro-writing, database design and data entry.In 2004 I joined LEAP Legal Software's Content department, which is responsible for the maintenance and automation of legal forms. Although my role originally involved automating the precedents using Word automation and mergefields, I soon took on the responsibility for creating and maintaining database elements such as tables, calculations, searches and reports.In 2014 I moved into the Development team as a QA Analyst. In this role I was responsible for QA of some products being used by our clients (LEAP Documents and LEAP Accounting) and also testing in-house products during their development cycle.After about a year in that role I joined the newly-formed Global Content team, supporting our Content / Design & Automation teams both in Australia and overseas. While in this role I became more and more involved in the original implementation of our in-house software for those teams - LEAP Design. In 2019 I moved into my current role as Application Analyst Team Lead, and I'm loving every minute of it!
