I worked as an intern on the Validation Team, in the Timing Division of Silicon Labs. My main project was to create an automated solution to store and analyze the massive amounts of data gathered by my team. I accomplished this by creating a 9 table database using Microsoft SQL Server. This database interfaced with Visual Studio (the tool used to create test patterns) through a .DLL I programmed. In addition, the database interfaced with JMP, a statistical analysis tool, through a GUI I created to ensure that statistics about various products can be analyzed in real-time.

I worked as an intern on the Global Product Compliance Engineering and Environmental Affairs Team at Dell on two separate projects: compiling a Closed-Loop Hard Disk Drive Feasibility study and updating the specifications for a electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity testing document. While mutli-tasking with hardware and environmental affairs, I was able to gain experience in a variety of areas.• Provided two potential solutions for a closed-loop recycling path• Gathered and organized massive quantities of information to determine best closed-loop solution• Planned experiments and processed results to form a document of recommendations and considerations for updating the EMI immunity testing specifications

I worked in the ECE Advising Department to help students in person as well as over the phone to resolve students’ advising concerns in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

I worked within the post-silicon debug team to analyze various types of issues found by clients or in testing and aid in their resolution. These issues are predominantly hardware, and have aided in increasing my knowledge and expertise in computer architecture. • Maintained, triaged, and updated over 20 validation systems• Trained two employees on how to use various debug tools to analyze failed systems• Coordinated flow of information and experiments between multiple cities and countries• Debugged system hangs on an AMD APU (x86 processor and graphic processor)
