Supporting Custodians to improve standards through peer support and training, sharing best practice and online workshops to name but a few! We have an amazing team with decades of expertise in the USRN & UPRN and only too happy to share their ideas.After 4 years as Local Street Gazetteer Custodian for East Sussex - I took a step to the other side! Previously worked for East Sussex Highways - a joint venture between Costain and Jacobs and based in Ringmer. The Gazetteer forms the basis for all Streetworks across East Sussex and is shared across the highways contract and with all the utilities planning to dig up the road! I loved working alongside the Street Naming & Numbering colleagues at Wealden, Rother, Hastings, Eastbourne and Lewes to ensure our two gazetteers are aligned. We created new streets for new developments and added data which is relevant for the Streetworks industry such as speed limits, pedestrian crossings and detector loops and much more. I was also chair of the South East group of Custodians - a group of 19 authority custodians working towards the same goals.I spent 6 months as rep on the Governance Group of Street Manager - a multi million ££ DfT initiative bringing all utilities and highway authorities together on one platform to plan and manage roadworks. And in my spare time... My "mum duties" are reducing. I continue to be an Authorised Lay Minister for St Mary's - Ringmer's Parish church where I specialise in Children and Families outreach. So I still use my copy-writing and communication skills producing news letters and running the church Facebook page. I am also an avid bell-ringer - ringing locally and travelling with friends to ring in Kent and further afield! Also enjoying teaching new ringers their skills to boost numbers in our own towers.Never a dull moment in my world
