• Researched barriers and opportunities for integrating novel diagnostic and mapping techniques into the existing malaria surveillance system of the Philippines. This mixed-methods health systems analysis consisted of interviews with local health care and malaria program personnel and a policy document review. • Key achievements: uncovered important bottlenecks in the current malaria surveillance system; these findings are currently used by the ENSURE project to inform their approach. The results were selected for presentation at the 2018 World Malaria Congress in Melbourne, Australia. Under time-constraint, conducted twice the required amount of interviews.
