Director of Nursing for a Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center. As a member of the facility leadership, I provide support to other members of leadership in an effort to promote a cohesive work environment across departments. Specifically, oversight of nursing care provided during Detoxification, Residential Inpatient, and Housed Outpatient levels of care by leading the nursing team comprised of Patient Care Aides, LPNs, and RNs. I am responsible for the facility's Medication Assisted Treatment program, providing education and options for craving control medications to discharge to home on; to promote long-term sobriety. In charge of the facility's Safety Management Program, including environmental hazards, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Prevention Program, and Aggregate Data collection. Overseeing patient care under the direction of medical providers, coordinating weekly team meetings to review each patient's care plan, reviewing and revising goals for patients to meet Medicare requirements, helping patient's set up discharge plans and assist in obtaining needed equipment for optimal success after discharge.

Assist Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff including RN, LPN, CMA, and CNAs. Check medication administration records at month end to prepare for upcoming month.Review all incidents and develop plan of action.Coordinate and document QA meetings monthly. Nursing home rounds with providers.Note all orders from provider rounds, psych rounds, and pharmacy consultant recommendations.Complete MDS assessments quarterly, annually, and with changes in condition in accordance to Medicare requirements.Manage care plan meetings and keep individual care plans up to date.On call for 2 week intervals to answer questions and fill in schedule, working any open shifts that may occur. Weekly reordering of supplies.Oversee restorative department.Assist with scheduling for nursing staff.Complete all new admissions and re-admissions.Communicate with family about changes in condition and new orders. Wound care.All other duties as assigned.
