I worked under the direction of Dr. Adam de Havenon at the University of Utah's Vascular Neurology Department. There I developed skills in collecting retrospective data from patients' electronic medical records, using REDCap EDC systems, project development and creation, data analysis, and abstract/publication writing.

Performed PCR techniques such as creating, running, and analyzing PCR results on mice tissue samples.Aided in mating mice for DNA and separating for tissue collection and experiments. Completed tissue digest and preparation for lab research and storage.

Disseminated wellness information, specifically about de-escalation of potentially harmful situations and encourage conversation around societal constructs that create harmful environments, to classes and organizations on campus.Represented the Center for Student Wellness at different events, educating the campus on the services offered through the center.Facilitated Bystander Intervention Training, Center for Student Wellness Outreach, and Challenging Rape Culture presentations to classes and organizations on campus.Assisted with free STI clinics.
