About Marissa Perez

As a local leader in the anti-violence community, Marissa is available to collaborate on issues of Gender-Based Violence, Native Rights issues, Intergenerational Trauma, and Trafficking. With over 3 years as a Sexual Assault and Harassment Victim Advocate in the US Army, Marissa saw first hand the devastation this type of violence has on women and their communities. She has been a part of Anti-Trafficking efforts in the region for two years, developing the Yarrow Project and working with Innovations HTC to bring training and resources to tribal communities around the state.Sage, her one-year-old Aussie-Hound mix, is a therapy dog in training and accompanies Marissa whenever she can, bringing her special brand of love to meetings, talks, conferences, and classes.If you are interested in partnering with Marissa and Sage, please reach out.
