My primary role as Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist is to help the Corporate Talent Acquisition team track and report status of deliverables and timelines. I am responsible for maintaining project schedules and job estimates, maintaining workflow records, and routing project tasks for approval. I also serve as a liaison between internal departments and outside vendors to coordinate efficient and timely online project processing; ensuring exceptional customer service and quality at all times.I manage our New Employee Orientation & Employee Referral programs and support our Employment Specialist and Coordinator. I am also a general point of contact for the department for all recruiting processes and systems we use.

Schedule phone, in person, video, and off-site interviews for all Corporate positions, providing interview information to candidates, recruiters, and interview team participants.Serve as a backup for preparation of offer documents, new hire welcome packages, processing and on-boarding of new employees into SuccessFactors. Act as point of contact for all incoming recruiting requests and inquiries as well as status updates on requisitions, background checks, employee referral process and internal transfer process. Enter, manage and close in-house temp assignment information in MicroJ+.Maintain the Job Summary Library for Corporate and Staffing positions in North America. I also act as a liaison for others in HR for job descriptions and other related information.

I monitored the system support inbox and acted as the primary point of contact for end users questions and/or issues relating to Recruiting module of SuccessFactors. Performed daily audits for accuracy of all incoming hire information in our North American offices for Corporate, Staffing & Protiviti. I also provided testing support for new system implementations.

Graduate Student Rotating in Dr. Steven Brenner's Lab• Studied the Nudix Hydrolase superfamily to improve SIFTER’s predictions of protein function.• Used a novel enzymatic assay that detects activity using fluorescence to determine the function of an archeal Nudix enzyme, MM_0920, from Methanosarcina mazie.• Found that the modified nucleotide 8-oxo-dGTP had activity with this Nudix enzyme.

Member of Dr. Alan Zahler's Lab• Investigated the mRNA processing faction MEC-8 from Caenorhabditis elegans to determine if previously identified targets were direct or indirect targets for MEC-8 splicing regulation.• Project used RNA Affinity Chromatography to located targets bound to the mRNA of MEC-8.• Tadem Affinity Purification (TAP) was used to isolate possible interacting partners of MEC-8.

Member of Dr. Alan Zahler's Lab• Define the role of TSN-1, a co-immunoprecipitator of a known RISC factor Argonaute, in C. elegans. • Used a stable transgene containing the TAP tag to identify co-interacting proteins and RNAs.• Project culminated in a senior thesis and a poster presentation at the 2010 RNA Society Conference.

• Participated in an intensive 8 week program rotating with different professors in the fields of biology and chemistry to learn basic tools used in current laboratory research.• Improved presentation skills through workshops and weekly progress presentations to peers.
