As a new public health professional, I have taken a special interest in community health. Not only do I want to help provide care to at-risk populations, I also want to educate people about the importance of preventative care. After working with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, I have seen first hand the importance preventative care and community health programs have on individuals. With the experience I have gained through St. Jude and the University of South Florida I feel as though I am ready to apply my skills in a community setting. I look forward to working with organizations and out-reach programs to spread knowledge and care to at-risk populations.
