CodePamoja is Mentorship Program aimed at bridging the gap between graduates’ skill set and the job Market through provision of project management skills and an opportunity to collaborate with oversees team(Netherlands) in developing real and tangible software solutions that meet Industry standards.At CodePamoja, Martha was tasked with developing web based applications using agile software development methodology for scrum projects with dynamic and growing user requirements. She was also tasked with testing the applications developed to ensure they meet user requirements and optimize the application's performance.Through collaboration with other teams, we participated in defining new user features and implement them as well as participate in peer code reviews. All this was done by ensuring that communication is at an all-time high across the teams to ensure successful delivery. Martha also participated in sprints retrospective which ensured that the team keep improving on different skills and techniques throughout the cycle of the project.

As a consultant Martha ensured that the database performance is optimized for easy access by the users as well as planning for database backup and recovery. Martha was also tasked with preparing and ensuring the monthly project implementation progress reports are prepared and ready in good time. She was also tasked with evaluation of tender documents and ensuring availability of record systems as was required.As part of the tender evaluation, Martha ensured that the construction materials meet the standards required by KPLC as well as ensuring personnel safety standards are adhered to. Other responsibilities that were assigned include network management and implementation, user support and training among other duties as was assigned.

Proudly Njema Apparel, is a wardrobe staple for the best quality in casual and official wear for all.As a Business developer Martha was in charge of ensuring client's garments are ready and meet the user specifications. Martha was also tasked with taking client measurements and specifications and ensure consistency in the final product. In addition to these, Martha was also responsible for preparation of color palettes and clothing sample palettes, provide support to the client to ensure the clients' needs are attended to as desired. She was also tasked with placing client orders and ensuring they are attended to, and meet the set deadlines. To avoid inconveniencing the clients, Martha was responsible for making arrangement and monitoring of product deliveries as well as support other tasks to ensure the garments are ready in good time and in consistent with the client requirement.By timely accomplishing these tasks, it helped facilitate business sustainability and growth.

Network Administration which involved:- Configuring company network by setting windows server 2008 settings, DHCP, HTTP, IP addresses and DNS settings and adding users to the company domain. Response to user needs and questions regarding network access and termination of Network cables2. Software and hardware Installation:Installing and configuring Integrated Customer Services Systems and applications in use at Kenya Power. Responding to Virus attacks on company PCs.3. Hard Disks’ Troubleshooting and installing, repairing and troubleshooting printers and Mail server administration.5. Implementing procedures for data backup and disaster recovery to meet user needs and performing any other duties as assigned by management.
