I'm an affordable housing developer based in my hometown of Seattle, WA. I focus on acquisition and construction of high-quality housing that is affordable to low income households of all backgrounds. I started my business in 2019 with the dual mission of delivering both below-market rents to my tenants and and above-market returns for my investors. Previously, I was a Partner with McKinsey & Company, the global consulting firm. I was a co-founder of "McKinsey Transformation," a ground-breaking new practice which helped large multi-nationals unlock real performance improvements in their most complicated assets. We developed and implemented a novel framework for change which was proven time and time again in our client settings. Almost all of our work had fees that were tied directly to impact and value created. In my 10 years with the practice we grew from almost nothing to a size of well over a billion dollars of professional fees.The common thread between my work at McKinsey and what I am doing now as a developer is the passion I bring to complex problems. Affordable housing is a multi-faceted issue, but one where there are massive resources available if they can only be harnessed effectively. I love to use data analysis, relationship skills, vision and other tools of the Management Consulting trade to make amazing housing projects happen. My goal is to prove out a new business model in the housing space that others will emulate, just as I did with McKinsey in the transformation practice.I'm always looking to hire and partner with people who feel similarly about hard problems, social impact, and building things.
