Research And Development Test Engineer For Nokia Optical Products
CurrentI am part of a Test Engineering team located in USA and my main scope is to develop test systems and the related software used to test circuit packs used on optical telecom products. The goal is to verify the compliance of the pack with the specifications. I am working in collaboration with the hardware designers, optical engineers, product engineers and component engineers from Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill NJ, USA to test models, which are new products, never tested before. The test engineering organization is a global one and as a result my work involve exchanging test engineering experience around the world. I am working on a state-of-the-art test development software platform and I am writing code on C#. This test development software platform is highly appreciated on all factories for stability, easy to use and the fully automated features. It is also highly appreciated by debug technicians for the expanded debug features. I am deploying my test solutions on factories across the globe. I am helping debug technicians from factories to find the root cause of difficult faults. I am providing highly appreciated hardware expertise. I am training the test engineers from the factories.I am in charge with Field Manufacturing Analysis guidance, and I am providing my findings to Quality Directors. I am the local manager of a fully equipped hardware laboratory. I am building new test set. I am defining the requirements, buy equipment and build. I am the ESD lab coordinator, I am in charge with the Lab ESD procedures. I am in charge to define the lab IT network rules, and I am working closely with Security IT Engineers, WAN Engineers to secure the lab. I am doing logistics activities related to receiving and shipping of goods for the lab. I am working closely with the purchasing department to find new suppliers and to buy all the necessary tools and equipment for the lab.
