Duty Manager
CurrentAs a duty manager, my job includes managing daily tasks, understanding staff strengths to assign jobs appropriately, reporting to store managers, and conducting opening/closing routines. Other responsibilities include safety management, hazard identification and risk assessments, fair and consistent application of RSA standards, defusing confronting situations, and, in the case of an emergency, assisting in evacuation procedures.I work closely with my managers to track customer satisfaction data, stock on hand, store condition, and communicate new information/standards with other staff.Personally, I specialise in establishing strong customer relationships by expanding my knowledge of the industry and the products the company sell. This is done via a combination of independent learning, hosting weekly tastings, and actively engaging with educational material provided by Dan Murphy’s.
